QUIET BLUE SINGLE LAUNCH TOUR
Its been a busy few weeks for Melbourne singer songwriter Quiet Blue, having just released his latest single “Thinking It Over” to much praise from the local and international electronic music scene. To celebrate the new track, Quiet Blue embarked on his debut headline tour with shows in both Sydney and Melbourne close to selling out. Here are some highlights from the tour.
Melbourne Show @ Horse Bazaar 4/11/19
Opening up the festivities was local up and coming electronic music producer Arty Ziff. His unique blend of deep house and disco inspired percussion set the tone early, with each track flowing into the next, offering some un-released bangers from the producer.
After Arty Ziff’s performance and peoples dinner plates had been cleared, the room started to fill up and there was a noticeable air of anticipation building. Quiet Blue hit the stage and opened with a slow atmospheric track, which perfectly showed off Nic’s vocals and guitar work. What followed was 45 minutes of electronic inspired dance grooves and layered melodies linking each track together in an exciting live show.
Once the band finished the set on a high with their dance anthem Friends, The gear was packed up in the car and driven straight to Sydney for the next leg of the tour.
Sydney Show @ Fredas bar 13/11/19
Local band Lo Vellan was on opening duties this time, delivering a tight and upbeat performance capped off by their rendition of ‘Creature’. We couldn’t help but get some Mac Demarco meets Ocean Alley vibes throughout the set which was a nice surprise! These guys are ones to watch.
By the time Quiet Blue hit the stage, Fredas Bar was looking nice and busy, with everyone’s body moving in time with the first few tracks. To cap off the night he ended with “Thinking It Over” which electrified the audience.
